1st Annual Sink the Stigma
We want to say a massive Thank You to everyone who made the inaugural Sink The Stigma a "swinging success." Thursday, September 15, was a fantastic day full of laughter, mini-putt action, great food and excellent company.
It was essential to our team that a significant portion of proceeds raised from Sink the Stigma benefit the London community. The First Episode Mood & Anxiety Program (FEMAP) is an excellent program making a difference in the lives of youth aged 16-25 who are experiencing the first episode of mental illness.
The support of every sponsor, in-kind partner, ticket purchaser, volunteer and donor allowed us to reach our fundraising goal and provide a donation of over $30,000 to FEMAP.
We were also honoured to have visited the FEMAP facility on September 16, where we met the dedicated team of health professionals and staff and heard first-hand about the program's groundbreaking strides in improving access to mental health programs and services. The Marner Assist Foundation (MAF) is looking forward to returning next year and expanding the event in hopes of raising even more funds to benefit the London Community.
On behalf of everyone at team MAF - Thank you for choosing to #MakeAnAssist and helping to Sink the Stigma of Mental Health.
